Introducing Good Luck Shoes

GOOD LUCK SHOES is a collective of shoe designers, photographers and graphic designers in London and Milan. We have a friend who works in a centre in Italy where migrant people are taken when they arrive on the Southern coast of Italy.

Our friend tells us that the co-operative that runs the centre has a critical shortage of shoes. Whilst the refugee or migration paperwork is processed by the Italian State the new arrivals have little more than the clothes on their backs. Many wear rubber flip flops and have no means of buying or earning the money to buy a proper pair of shoes.

We know that many of us feel compassion for the migrant and refugee population arriving into Europe, and think that you, like us, might want to make a tangible and utterly practical contribution to someone's life.

GOOD LUCK SHOES was created to donate shoes to people who now have no shoes to wear. We GOOD NEWS have donated 525 pairs of shoes, and we are starting with an appeal for £1000 to ship them to the Cooperative that runs six Immigration Centres in Italy.

For £2 you can gift a pair of shoes, and wish a migrant person good luck on the rest of their journey, wherever that journey might take them. Any money left over will be donated to the Cooperative.

Please share with anyone you think might be interested in the project.
As well as aiming to raise money (and shoes), our blog also explores the stories of some of the people housed the migrant centres. Your support would be much appreciated, whether that is by donating a few quid or by following us on social media or sharing our blog posts.
